Obama's "nuclear weapons renaissance"

The anti-nuke group, Concerned Citizens for Nuclear Safety, has been pushing the meme that Obama is leading a "nuclear weapons renaissance" against Republican opposition. They explained their position on the Democracy Now! broadcast this morning, only a taste of which made it into this write-up.

In their view, which I am simplifying, Obama is refreshing nuclear stockpiles, developing new types of nuclear weapons at a lively tempo, and expanding bomb-making and research facilities while Republicans are calling for delays, studies, and postponements.

A meme worth watching indeed.
